Blogtoberfest - Day 2 - A Little Bit of France

Yesterday my son and I ventured over to Como House in Toorak to visit the first Paris To Provence French Festival. After searching the streets of Toorak for a parking space, we walked in the lovely Spring Melbourne sunshine to the majestic Como House.

In the grounds of the grand Como House were many stalls, selling items such as French books, cheeses, wines, food, clothes, language courses. You name it, it was there. My favourite was being greeted with the lovely smells of pastries, crepes and coffee. Mmmmmm.

My son certainly enjoyed his tastes of France, and meeting performers dressed up as Marie Antoinette, French gendarme and mimes. He also enjoyed walking around Como House and lapping up the old history of the building and it's past owners.

  1. Wow! This sounds cool. Wish I'd know about it beforehand. I could quite easily have spend a day eating French foods.
