A Pink Bunting Birthday Invite Creation
I just had to share my latest creation, this cute little pink birthday party invite with buntings! When I see buntings I think of the classic country fairs. Fairy floss, cakes, candy... the list goes on.
Have a look over here to see more pics.

Dinosaur on scooter / skateboard Birthday Party Invitations
Yep you read right, dinosaurs on a scooter and skateboard. The idea popped into my head ages ago while I was watching my son on his scooter.
I know weird.
Originally I put the idea on some children's writing paper. Now I have designed a version for birthday invitations. They are now on sale at my Made It shop.

Fairy Birthday Party Invitations

I have decided to try something new. Instead of taking photos of products I have decided to show an image of the invite. Do people like it, or do you prefer to see a photo of the invites and envelopes? Let me know, I love feedback.

My Creative Space
I'm currently in the process of putting together a birthday invitation for a friend/client for her 40th birthday. The style of the invite is an album cover with the record inside. There are many more bits to this invite (not viewed here), so it's taking a little longer than I expected. The theme is 70s and 80s.
Last year I and my husband put together an invite for an 80s theme birthday party, the invite was a rubiks cube. I used one of the elements from that invite and extended it to include 70s costume ideas as well. I had fun researching what was in back in the 1970s. I was a wee child back then.

Alice In Wonderland (White Rabbit) Birthday Invitations

Recently I had a person contact me through Made It, they wanted to know if I could design a 'Alice In Wonderland' lolly bags for their daughters birthday? Yes I could, however I couldn't use the classic images that are around due to copyright reasons. This I explained.
So I went ahead designed the item. Once again it was a team effort between me and my husband. He helped obtain the image of the White Rabbit. My husband works in the area of CGI.
To cut a long story short the little girl likes her lolly bags. Yeah! Check out the invitations and lolly bags here.

My Creative Space
Joining in on Kootoyoo's - My Creative Space for this week.
Over the last few markets, I have had the odd customer ask if I design invitations for little girls. To tell you the truth I haven't, due to most of my inspiration comes from my 9 year old son. It just seems so much more natural to design for boys. But for girls, this I find difficult. So I thought I would give it a try and design a very basic butterfly birthday party invitation. I'm not 100% happy with it yet. I don't know, is there something missing, or am I trying to hard? Not sure.

New product on Made It

I must admit I really like the fact that when one adds a product onto Made It, that it appears on their site in the category that you have chosen.
I have designed a new birthday invitation using images that my husband has designed and modeled on Light Wave. A team effort! Hubby is very happy that I'm using his images instead of them sitting on his computer for no one to see.
Check out the invite here

Recent Project - 80s Invite
Recently I was asked to put together a birthday invitation for a friend who is having a birthday party. They wanted a 1980s theme, seeing their birthday is a 1980s costume party.
My husband and I combined our skills to make this invite. My job was to provide the texture for the rubiks cube and my husband job was to provide a Lightwave model of it. He incorporated the text and texture into the CGI image, end result below.
(Of course info about the party has been removed :-) )

Designing a memory
Recently I was asked to put together a wedding invitation. The client provided the illustrations of the sturt desert pea, pink heath flower, people and text. Instead of the usual A4 or A5 invite they wanted the information to be placed on cards, which then would be inserted into an envelope. They had seen this design and they wanted the same for themselves. In the end the client compiled the cards together. This task was such a pleasure to do, and it was nice that the clients thought outside the box.
