Blogtoberfest - Day 30 - Book Review - Origami Greetings

Have you ever purchased a book, you cannot read? Well I did this a few months ago.

Origami Greetings is mostly written in Japanese (Contents is also in English). If one cannot read Japanese, have no fear, you can still take on the challenge of making letters or cards that have an origami animal or object connected to it.

There are plenty of diagrams, visually explaining how to fold the paper to make the desired item. If you love the art of origami and it doesn't worry you that you cannot read it, then maybe give it ago.

Hop onto the Japanese Bullet Train

As I said in my last post, I was joining in on Finki's Monthly Design Challenge. I had a few people ask what I was designing for my business. I had decided that I wanted to design for myself, I wanted to have fun and most of all be relaxed.

So I decided to make a basic collage from Japanese paper, coloured paper and Japanese Washi Tape.


I taught myself how to do origami letters from a very cute and simple web site called The Origami Club This site was a great find. Japanese paper from an assortment of paper shops around Melbourne and the Japanese Washi Tape is from Lark

So there you go. One monthly design challenge gone, 11 to go!
