Blogtoberfest - Day 31 - The End......

Well I made it, all the way through my first Blogtoberfest. I will say it's been a challenge, to write posts when you don't feel like it or life gets in the way. However I have enjoyed participating, and I have enjoyed reading other people's blog entries. I would love to know what people thought of Blogtoberfest, would love to read your comments.

Thank you to Tinniegirl for hosting 2010 Blogtoberfest. Hope to join in next year!

My Place and Yours: My Collection

I can so join in this weeks theme. Thanks to Meet Me At Mikes and Fox Lane I can now show off my lovely Noddy collection.

When I was a child my nick name from my mum was 'Noddy', don't ask me why. Slowly people started giving me Noddy books etc, the collection grew and grew. Most of the collection has been given to me. I love showing it off, because I love seeing the reactions on people's faces. They either burst out laughing, stare in amazement or start talking about their childhood. When people start talking about their childhood, the discussion is almost like a therapeutic session. :-)

You will notice on the second shelf Noddy from Jaboopee is still there being a leader to all other Noddy's.

Paper Foldables

On my journey through the paper world I have seen the many ways people create lovely art using paper. There's the paper cutters, paper makers, stationery, paper bookbinders and the paper toys or paper foldables.

For those who don't know me, my other keen interest is science fiction. Back in the 1980's there was a classic science fiction series called 'V'. Well my dear husband found on the net a paper foldable 'Visitor' based on the characters from the show. Well of course we downloaded the pattern from Paper Foldables and here you go. I had a bit of fun and put my little Visitor in my Noddy collection. Enjoy....

Noddy has arrived!

Sweet Elaine from Jaboopee was kind enough to send me one of her precious toys from her collection, after she read my blog entry on my Noddy collection. So I am pleased to announce that Noddy has arrived! He has traveled a long way, all the way from Ireland to Australia.

I am sure Noddy will enjoy his time here in Australia with all the other characters. Thank you again Elaine. You have made my day!

Words and Pictures - Collecting

'Meet me at Mikes' likes to encourage readers to contribute with 'words and pictures' on different theme's. This week it is collecting.

I collect anything to do with Noddy. This collection started at a young age and it has just grown and grown. I was called Noddy by my mother, thus the collection. My collection brings a lot of pleasure. I have fond memories of my son, when he was young, playing with some of the Noddy items and me reading some of the books to him.
