My Place and Yours: Shoes

I cant believe it's been a week since the last My Place and Yours on Punky & Me.
This weeks theme is shoes. I decided to show off my wedding shoes. I love Doc Martins, so comfy. I am not a high heel chick, I wanted to be relaxed etc so of course Docs were the answer. My lovely Aunty found me a pair of white docs (so hard to find) in a shop in Sydney.

I have only worn these docs once, they are very special of course. Not only did I wear these Docs, but underneath I was wearing a Victorian corset with metal piping and the traditional Victorian underwear. Corset, wedding dress and docs all worn in 42 degree heat!

Hubby and Me, of course. We are so young! :-)

My Place and Yours: What I'm Reading

Punky and Me has taken over the My Place and Yours, yeah! I really enjoyed reading other people's thoughts on different themes. This week it's what I'm reading.

M Liftout from 'The Age'. I must admit I'm a little addicted to the Sunday Age. My Sunday doesn't feel complete if I don't get my hands on M. I did enjoy the Life magazine in the past, before they changed the format. Now I just give it a short glance. I so very hope they don't change M.

Crossing the Ditch by James Castrission
It's the true story of James and Justin who paddled their Kayak from Foster Australia to New Zealand. For those who know me, I'm a big fan of these men. I have met them twice and I follow their adventures still on their web site.

Creepy Cute Crochet
by Cristen Haden
I received this book from my relatives for Christmas. I am so looking forward to tackling my first creepy crochet character.

If you want to see what other bloggers are reading go and check out Punky and Me

My Place and Yours: My Collection

I can so join in this weeks theme. Thanks to Meet Me At Mikes and Fox Lane I can now show off my lovely Noddy collection.

When I was a child my nick name from my mum was 'Noddy', don't ask me why. Slowly people started giving me Noddy books etc, the collection grew and grew. Most of the collection has been given to me. I love showing it off, because I love seeing the reactions on people's faces. They either burst out laughing, stare in amazement or start talking about their childhood. When people start talking about their childhood, the discussion is almost like a therapeutic session. :-)

You will notice on the second shelf Noddy from Jaboopee is still there being a leader to all other Noddy's.

My Place and Yours: Blog HQ

Joining in on Pip's Meet Me At Mikes, meme. Theme: HQ Blog , where do we write, read and get inspiration for our blogs?

I write my blog posts and read endless blogs from around the world downstairs in my husband den, which really has become our den. I love putting together my blog and reading others. Blogs are my new magazines now.

I am constantly changing my desktop wallpaper, depending on my moods and current interests are at the time. As you can see there is a Ben 10 mug placed on the desk, I want to make it quite clear I don't drink from the Ben 10 mug, that's my son's.

You will notice I have a few of my products lying around, my prototype crochet mouse pad, it's one of those projects that keeps getting left behind and many invites and shopping lists on the printer. And lastly must not forget my little Battlestar Galactica Cylon and Six, under the screen. So there you go......

My Place and Yours: Bedside

The lovely Pip at Meet Me At Mikes is doing another meme and this weeks theme is the Bedside table.

My Bedside table

I thought I'd join in this week and show off my bedside table.

I have the latest issue of Real Living Magazine which I'm a subscriber. This issue hasn't yet reached the news stands. When I saw the Christmas tree, I just groaned, I'm still getting over last years. :-) Also other reading material, a book called 'Gamers' Quest' written by a dear friend. Also the comic/novel book 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'.
